Free Statewide Training for Nurse Preceptors

The University of Iowa College of Nursing has launched "Supporting Nurses: Training for Preceptors, Mentors, and Clinical Coaches at no cost to Iowa learners. A new collaboration with the Midwest Clinical Instruction Regional Network has updated and expanded this statewide offering, providing enhanced curriculum, refreshed content, and strengthened support for those who guide and develop the next generation of nurses.

Participants who complete the program are also eligible to apply for the network’s advanced preceptor fellowship, an opportunity for clinicians looking to deepen their preceptorship skills. Fellowship participants may receive a stipend and 29 continuing education hours.
